GPs are delivering a full-time workload in just over 3 days!
A recent BJGP article aimed to highlight the real workload of ‘part-time’ GPs who are, in reality, working full-time hours(1).
The BMA defines a session as 4 hours and 10 minutes, with 3 hours spent seeing patients and the remaining time (~29%) on associated administration(2). However, the 2021 GP worklife survey found that the average GP(3):
